MSU Bookstore Review
MSU Bookstore was founded in 1931, initially as a clerk service counter in the University registry. Later, it was moved to a small room in the lobby of the Romney stadium and finally, in the early 1940s, to the basement of the Strand Student Union. Over the years, the space of the bookstore has been expanding. Now it covers an area of 30000 square feet and has about 85 full-time, part-time and student employees. Starting from selling only some required textbooks, they have developed into a small department store, which not only provides required and recommended course materials, but also provides badge clothing and gifts, health and beauty products, school and art supplies, leisure food and candy, computers and accessories, as well as a large number of general interest books. The MSU Bookstore is independent of the University, owned by MSU faculty and students, and managed by an elected Board of directors that includes faculty and students. Its excess revenue is returned to its ownership in the form of discounted text and trade books, making MSU bookstore the leader in low-cost textbooks in the United States.
