Iowa State Bookstore Review

The Iowa State Bookstore began in the 1800's in a small room in Beardshear Hall. In 1892, the hub was completed to meet the needs of new bookstores, post offices and Dinkey waiting rooms from Ames to campus steam engine production line. The bookstore continued its counter service business for 66 years. In 1958, it moved to the memorial union to expand facilities, self-service and add new services. In order to meet the growing demands of the campus, the bookstore soon doubled its space in the memorial alliance. Iowa State University Bookstore is an important part of their diversified academic community. UBS is a unique department because they have the opportunity and responsibility to serve every student, faculty and employee in ISU. By supporting projects, activities and programs, their services are essential to every college in the University. Iowa State Bookstore is your store. Founded in 1858, Iowa State University is a public, land-grant University.
