The University of Louisville Bookstore prides itself on providing quality services to the students, faculty and staff of the University of Louisville. The bookstore has two locations, one in the Belknap campus and the other in the health school district. It is a convenient place to get all textbooks, business books and school supplies. Don't forget to stop and pick up your UofL spirit costumes and novelties! All textbooks and course material orders must be submitted to the official campus bookstore to ensure compliance with the Federal Government's Higher Education Opportunities Act. This operation allows students to view textbooks and course material information when registering for courses, and helps them get more funds when repurchasing. Adoption must include all course materials, including books, access codes, web-based assignment codes, custom course packages, and any other materials that students must pay to enter the classroom.

Louisville, Kentucky's Institution of Louisville (UofL) is a public research university. It is a component of the Kentucky State University system of higher education. It was the first public university in the United States to be held by a city and one of the first to be chartered west of the Allegheny Mountains, having been founded in 1798. The university was authorized by the Kentucky General Assembly as an ''Excellent Urban Research University.''
