Overview
Founded in 1908, James Madison University is a public university in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. JMU is rapidly becoming one of the leading figures in American higher education, because students have an extremely active relationship with world-class teachers, and they are here because they want to pursue knowledge and put teaching first. James Madison University has 35 student dormitories, ten of which are used as nursing homes. Although most dormitories are for housing only, some halls also provide auxiliary services, such as computer labs and bookstore. All freshmen must live on campus, and most of JMU's on campus housing is reserved for freshmen. As a result, most senior and graduate students live off campus. JMU graduates are not just educated people. They improved their ability to think critically. They have diplomas, are determined to leave campus, live a meaningful life and pursue their target career.
